NUMERICAL MOBILE NETWORK Three has let us know that it will soon be selling the Apple Ipad Mini and fourth generation Ipad.
In typical pre-release fashion, there are no details on Three's pricing yet. However, we're assuming that the fourth generation Ipad will cost the same at Three as the third generation Ipad, which is available from £99 on a £29 24 month contract. This gets you a 16GB Ipad and 15GB of monthly data usage.
The Ipad Mini likely will be even cheaper, given that Apple has tagged it with a retail price of £269.
Unveiled at an event in California on Thursday, the fourth generation Apple Ipad is essentially a refreshed version of the formerly "new" third generation Ipad. Apple has upgraded it to feature a faster A6X processor, a Facetime camera, support for LTE in the UK, improved WiFi performance and a Lightning connector port.
The Ipad Mini, on the other hand, is a departure from Apple's previous tablets. Aimed to compete with the Google Nexus 7, the 7.2mm thick Ipad Mini tablet features a 7.9in 1024x768 screen, Apple's dual-core A5X processor, a Facetime camera, a 5MP Isight rear-facing camera, support for LTE connectivity and 10 hour battery life.
Three has yet to cough details on when it will be releasing the new Ipads, but Apple said that Ipad Mini and fourth generation Ipad will arrive in the UK on 2 November. µ
