NUMERICAL MOBILE NETWORK Three has listed the Windows 8 powered Asus Vivo Tab RT ahead of Microsoft's launch in two weeks.
Following in the footsteps of US network AT&T, Three has added the Asus Vivo Tab RT Windows 8 tablet to its lineup, although it hasn't given any details on its pricing or release date yet. However, we suspect that the tablet will fetch around £400 SIM free and will arrive in early November.
Announced back in August, the Asus Vivo Tab RT is a 10.1in Windows 8 tablet that boasts a 1366x768 Super IPS display. The upcoming tablet also features 2GB of RAM, an Nvidia 1.3GHz quad-core Tegra 3 processor, dual cameras and support for 4G LTE, which Three's customers won't be able to take advantage of yet.
It also comes with an optional keyboard, turning the device into a tablet/laptop hybrid similar to the Android powered Asus Transformer Pad Infinity.
"The Asus Vivo Tab RT is a great partner for tablet users who want to work and play on the go," explains Three.
"Supplied with Windows RT, the Windows 8 apps, games and movies will look incredible on the Vivo Tab RT's 10.1 [inch] display and the quad-core processor combined with Office 2013 means multi-tasking is a breeze."
Three was unable to comment further at the time of publication. µ
