Vodafone starts selling the Samsung Galaxy Note 2

CRIMSON MOBILE OPERATOR Vodafone started selling the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 handset today, following the handset's launch on Monday.

However, those who weren't so keen on O2 and Three's pricing might be in for a bit of a shock. While at the aforementioned networks the Galaxy Note 2 can be picked up for free on £41 and £34 tariffs, respectively, buyers will have to sign up to a £47 a month contract at Vodafone.

That said, the pricey contract does come with unlimited texts, unlimited minutes and 2GB of monthly data.

If you don't fancy picking up the phone on a lengthy two year contract, it can be bought from Samsung directly for £549.95 SIM free.

It might be expensive but you do get a lot of phone for your money, as the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 features a huge 5.5in Super AMOLED screen, complete with stylus support for onscreen doodling and notetaking. The handset also boasts a 1.6GHz quad-core processor, a 3,100mAh battery, Android 4.1 Jelly Bean and an 8MP rear-facing camera with HD 1080p video.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 2 will also be available to buy through Orange and T-Mobile from 15 October, and will be upgradeable to EE's 4G network on 30 October.
