JAPANESE GADGET MAKER Sony will release its Xperia J smartphone through O2 and Three in the UK next month, after having unveiled it at IFA in Berlin.
We spotted the midrange handset on both the O2 and Three websites with an imminent October release date. There's no word on tariffs yet, but given its £190 SIM free price tag, we can't see it costing very much on a contract or pay as you go.
£190 is a decent price considering the phone's specifications sheet, which includes a 4in 480x854 touchscreen, a 1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor and Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich (ICS).
The typically styled Sony phone also features a 5MP rear-facing camera with VGA video, a 0.3MP front-facing camera, 4GB of internal memory expandable to 32GB via microSD and a 1,750mAh battery, capable of around seven hours of talk time.
Once released in the UK next month, the phone will be available in four different colours - black, white, gold and pink. µ
