CHINESE PHONE MAKER Oppo has unveiled a smartphone with a higher resolution screen than the Iphone 5, the first phone in the world to best Apple's Retina display.
The handset, called the Oppo Find 5, features an impressive 5in HD 1080p 1920x1080p resolution touchscreen display with a pixel density of 441ppi (pixels per inch), according to Tom's Hardware. In comparison, the Iphone 5 features a 4in 1136x640 resolution touchscreen with 326ppi.
It's not just the Iphone 5 that Oppo's Find 5 smartphone makes a mockery of, as it also puts the Samsung Galaxy S3 (306ppi), the HTC One X (312ppi) and the Nokia Lumia 920 (332ppi) to shame.
Still, it's worth noting that the human eye probably won't be able to tell that the screen on the Oppo Find 5 is better than the Iphone 5, but it's an impressive feat by the Chinese company nonetheless.
The Find 5 isn't all about the screen though. Other specifications include Google's Android 4.1 Jelly Bean operating system (OS), a Qualcomm dual-core Snapdragon S4 processor, a Galaxy S3-matching 2GB of RAM, a 12MP rear-facing camera, a 2MP front-facing camera, a 2,500mAh battery and 16GB or 32GB internal storage.
There are no details on the smartphone's pricing or release date yet, but we're pretty confident that this one won't be seeing a UK release. µ
