UK MOBILE OPERATOR Everything Everywhere sent out invitations summoning the press to an event on 11 September today, where it is expected that the network will detail its 4G plans.
The invitation that was sent to The INQUIRER doesn't reveal much about what we can expect from next Tuesday's event. It simply says "Brand New" at the top before revealing the time and location of the soiree.
However, we'll be surprised if Everything Everywhere is planning to announce anything other than its 4G strategy, as last month Ofcom gave it the green light to roll out 4G services later this year from, of course, 11 September.
Everything Everywhere hasn't revealed much about what we can expect from it in terms of 4G, besides saying that it's planning to launch a separate brand alongside the Orange and T-Mobile networks.
Following the announcement Everything Everywhere said, "Ofcom's decision to make 4G available this year is great news for the UK. Consumers will soon be able to benefit from the much greater mobile speeds that 4G will deliver.
"4G will drive investment, employment and innovation and we look forward to making it available later this year, delivering superfast mobile broadband to the UK."
The INQUIRER will be at Everything Everywhere's event next Tuesday, so check back then for all the latest details. µ
