UK RETAILER Carphone Warehouse has revealed that it will start selling the HTC Desire X smartphone later this month.
Announced at IFA in Berlin last week, the Desire X is yet another phone that ignores HTC's well-publicised 'hero strategy'. Set to fetch around £180 when it goes on sale, the handset features a mid-range 4in 480x800 S-LCD screen, along with a 1GHz dual-core processor and Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich.
The petit device also features a 5MP rear-facing camera, integrated Beats Audio software, 4GB of internal storage, HSDPA and WiFi connectivity and a 1,650mAh battery,
While Phones 4U boasts that it has an exclusive on the white version of the HTC phone, Carphone Warehouse has revealed that it will also start selling the Desire X this month. There are no pricing details yet, but it's likely to fetch around £20 a month on a two-year contract.
Keen to bolster its smartphone line-up, Carphone Warehouse has also let slip that it will be selling the Sony Xperia T, Sony's latest Android flagship handset, later this month too. µ
