IFA: Samsung Galaxy Camera running Android 4.1 Jelly Bean video demo

BERLIN: KOREAN HARDWARE GIANT Samsung unveiled a camera as part of its Galaxy range of mobile devices at the IFA expo in Berlin this week, and The INQUIRER was there for an exclusive video demo.

Running the latest version of Google's Android 4.1 Jelly Bean operating system, the 16MP point-and-shoot camera comes bundled with technology borrowed from Samsung's mobile handsets.

With a 21x optimcal zoom lens, it looks like your bog standard high-end camera from the front, but turning it around, you'll find a large 4.8in touchscreen display.

Just like a phone, it also connects to WiFi, 3G and even 4G networks so pictures can be taken, edited with a number of filters and shared instantly to the web. If taking high-resolution images isn't enough, you can even use the Galaxy camera to download apps such as Instagram, play games, watch movies or view maps. µ
