UK RETAILER Expansys has revealed that Acer's upcoming smartphone, the Acer Liquid Gallant, will cost £150 when it's released.
The Acer Liquid Gallant was unveiled earlier this week before it makes its debut at IFA in Berlin next week. The mid-range smartphone arrives running Google's Android 4.0.4 Ice Cream Sandwich operating system, and features a 1GHz ARM Cortex A9 processor.
There's also a decent 4.3in 540x960 touchscreen, 4GB of internal storage expandable to 32GB via microSD card, a 5MP rear-facing camera, HSDPA and WiFi connectivity and a 1500mAh battery.
"This new Acer smartphone mission is quite simple: bring the best experience to all the modern days' explorers, which results in creating a very affordable phone with no compromise on performance and usability" said Acer EMEA VP Allen Burnes following the announcement.
Online phone shop Expansys has already put the dual SIM version of the handset up for pre-order, revealing the Acer Liquid Gallant's dirt-cheap price tag. Bizarelly, the white model is cheaper at £147.99, while the black model will cost £148.99 SIM free. There's no word on the phone's release date yet.
The Acer Liquid Gallant will make its debut at IFA next week, and we'll be there. µ
