CHINESE TELECOM VENDOR Huawei's latest smartphone, the Huawei Ascend P1, is now available to buy through Vodafone.
Although the Ascend P1 is billed as a mid-range phone, Vodafone's pricing seems to suggest otherwise. The Ascend P1 isn't available to buy on pay as you go, and buyers will instead have to sign up for a £26 24 month contract that comes with 300 minutes, unlimited texts and 500MB of monthly data.
That works out at a grand total of £624 over the 24 month period, despite the phone's SIM free price of around £350.
Still, that's not to say that this is a bad phone, as the Huawei Ascend P1 features a decent 4.3in Super AMOLED 960x540 touchscreen along with with a 1.5GHz dual-core processor and Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich.
It also measures a super-skinny 7.7mm thick, despite also boasting an 8MP rear-facing camera with HD 1080p video, a 1.3MP webcam, up to 32GB of internal storage and a 1670mAh battery.
