THE POSSIBLE Xbox 720 Durango software development kit (SDK) is back up for sale on Ebay.
The PC box with apparently Xbox credentials sold this Monday for $20,000, but that sale must have fallen through. Listed again in the last 24 hours, it's back up for sale and bids have taken the price for the purported Xbox 720 development machine up to $15,000 or around £9,500.
Details on the listing are light. There is the same photo, which looks like a standard tower PC, the specifications of an Intel processor, dedicated graphics and 12GB memory, and the text, "This item comes with powercables, and a wired controller."
Its seller, someone calling themselves Superdae, has no other Ebay history and the box has appeared just a couple of months after information about Durango was leaked online.
It is possible that the last sale fell through when the purchaser got cold feet. Given that there is no way to validate the hardware and software, we remain sceptical about the listing.
There is another very similar listing for a second Microsoft Xbox Durango Development Kit also on Ebay.
This model, which shares the same text and photo as the other listing is located in California. It has fewer bids however, and is presently available for a bid that tops $202.50. This auction has four days remaining to run, while Superdae's listing still has six days. µ
