MUSIC STREAMING SERVICE Spotify has updated its Iphone and Ipad apps with support for IOS 6 ahead of the release of the operating system later this year.

We've been prompted to download the latest Spotify update, version 0.5.4, which promises to add support for IOS 6. The update's release notes say, "A lot of folks like the IOS 6 update we've bought to this update."

That's not the only change Spotify has made to its IOS app. This latest update also brings more stations for Ipad owners, improved stability, a fix for Facebook log-in issues and the ability to show the app in three new flavours - chocolate, strawberry or vanilla.

This update comes shortly after Spotify brought new features to its Android application, finally granting users access to Spotify Radio. On the same day, the music streaming service announced that it now has over 15 million active users, four million of which are paying subscribers.

Spotify for IOS is available to download for free from the Itunes App Store, and is compatible with IOS 5.0 and later. µ
