THE GOOGLE NEXUS 7 built by Asus is Google's first Android tablet, which it hopes will show OEMs how to knock Apple from the top spot in the tablet market.

It might retail for just £159 for the 8GB model and £199 for the 16GB version, but the Nexus 7 features an Nvidia quad-core Tegra 3 1.3GHz processor and a 7in touchscreen. It runs Google's latest Android 4.1 Jelly Bean operating system, giving the tablet deep integration with Google Play as well as Google Now and Project Butter, for an all around slick user experience.

It also has a front-facing video calling camera, a 4325mAh battery, integrated NFC technology and Bluetooth and WiFi connectivity.
