TOYMAKER TO THE WELL HEELED Apple has extended its Itunes movies in the cloud service to the UK, a feature that was previously only available in the US.
Apple confirmed the launch to The INQUIRER, telling us that Itunes account holders in the UK can now access their movies from any IOS device, be it an Iphone, Ipad or Ipod Touch.
This means that Itunes users will not need to store large movie files on their Apple devices, freeing up valuable storage space. It also allows users to download films straight from the cloud by tapping the Icloud icon on the 'Purchased' tab within the Itunes Store and hitting delete once downloaded.
"With iCloud, you can start watching those movies and TV shows on one device and finish them on another," Apple explains on its web site.
Things could be about to get better for Itunes account holders, too. Rumours suggest that Apple is planning to overhaul its Itunes service, which will offer further integration with its Icloud service, a Spotify rival streaming service and a much needed redesign.
It's not just the UK getting Itunes movies in the cloud, as Apple is rolling out the service to 40 countries including Canada, Australia and New Zealand. µ
