KOREAN PHONE MAKER Samsung has assured us that the 64GB Samsung Galaxy S3 is still on track for a UK release, despite rumours that the model has been cancelled.
In a statement issued to The INQUIRER, Samsung said that it still plans to release the highest specification model. A spokesperson said, "The 64GB model of the Galaxy S III will be available during the second half of this year.
"The market availability and timing may vary and will be determined at the time of release."
There's no word on pricing or the release date for the handset just yet, or as to why the model has been delayed, but given that we're already in the second half of the year we can expect it to arrive any day now.
The 64GB capacity Galaxy S3 will no doubt further boost Samsung's smartphone sales. Thanks to sales of this latest flagship smartphone, Samsung's phone shipments reportedly topped 50 million in the second quarter. There are also reports that Samsung plans to bring different flavours of its Galaxy S3 handset to the UK, following the launch of the red model in the US.
