THE RUGGED Sony Xperia Go has gone on sale in the UK on mobile network O2.
Unveiled mere weeks ago, the Xperia Go is the firm's first inexpensive but rugged smartphone offering users on a budget resistance against dust, scratches and water.
The Sony Xperia Go features a 3.5in Reality display with wet finger tracking, which means you can still use the display after the phone has gotten wet in the rain. There's also a 1GHz dual-core processor, Android 2.3 Gingerbread and 8GB of internal storage expandable up to 32GB via microSD.
The phone comes in three different colours - black, white and yellow.
O2 is the first UK mobile operator to offer the robust smartphone. Customers have the option of forking out £229.99 for the handset on pay as you go or can opt for a monthly contract.
Monthly contract prices start from £18.50 per month, which nabs you 200 minutes, unlimited texts and 100MB of mobile data. O2 is also offering punters the chance to upgrade to a new phone one month early. µ
