NAVY COLOURED MOBILE NETWORK O2 is suffering "on-going issues" across the UK, with users reporting a lack of phone or data signal.
O2 told us it that it couldn't be sure what has caused the issue, but said on Twitter that "engineers are doing their best" to resolve the problem, which has left many of its users unable to make phone calls and without web access on their mobile phones.
It's unclear how many users have been affected, but O2 customers from all over the UK have taken to Twitter to voice their anger. One agitated O2 user said, "Thinking of refusing to pay my bill to @O2 right now due to the poor signal I've had and the lie they just fed me. Customer service TSK."
The problem has also affected social network Giffgaff, which uses the O2 network. The operator acknowledged the blackout in a statement on its web site, saying, ""We are currently experiencing an outage for voice and data (2G and 3G).
"We are investigating the issue and hope to have it up and running as soon as possible. All users will experience intermittent voice and data for the duration."
Oddly enough, we seem to have O2 signal here in The INQUIRER office, making it seem that the problem might be affecting users randomly. µ
