AMERICAN PHONE MAKER Motorola has announced yet another Android handset for the UK, and this time it's the cheap and cheerful Motosmart.
Fans of Motorola's high end Razr smartphones needn't get excited, as the Motosmart runs Google's ageing Android 2.3 Gingerbread operating system and has a 600MHz Qualcomm MSM727 processor. There's also a non-inspiring 3.5in 480x320 resolution touchscreen, although that's not too bad considering the phone's budget £79.99 pay as you go price tag.

On the phone's rear there's a 3MP camera without flash, and there's no front-facing camera for video calling. There's also 156MB of memory, support for up to 32GB of microSD storage, a 1400Mah battery and Motorola's Motoswitch software.
"The phone comes with Motorola's new interface that learns who you talk to most and which apps you use throughout your day," Motorola said. "All of this information is then saved right on your home screen."
The Motorola Motosmart will be available through Carphone Warehouse and T-Mobile later this month, with prices starting from just £7 a month on monthly contracts. µ
