FINNISH PHONE FIRM Nokia has confirmed that its 808 Pureview handset will arrive in the UK at the end of the month.
The Nokia 808 Pureview, if you've been living in a bubble for the last few months, is the Finns' ridiculously advanced Symbian camera phone. As well as a 41MP sensor, the device features Carl Zeiss optics, Xenon flash, HD 1080p video and Nokia's Pureview imaging technology. There's also a VGA camera on the front, by the way, that's not nearly as impressive as its rear-facing counterpart.

As well as its imaging smarts, the Nokia 808 Pureview boasts a 1.3GHz processor, a 4in 360x640 AMOLED Clearblack display, Dolby Digital Plus audio technology, 16GB of internal storage expandable to 32GB, HSDPA and WiFi connectivity and a 1400mAh battery, promising up to 11 hours of talk time on a single charge.
Nokia also confirmed today, although we'd already spotted it, that the phone's now available to pre-order from Amazon UK, with a release date promised for 30 June. It also affirmed that the handset's price will be £499.98, which we can't help but think is a bit over the odds for a Symbian phone. µ
