THE INQUIRER was at the launch of Paypal's new high street mobile payments app in London today and managed to get some hands-on time with the cash-free payment alternative to NFC.
The app called Paypal Instore aims to take on services like Barclays Pingit and Visa Paywave, and is available from tomorrow in Coast, Oasis, Karen Millen and Warehouse stores. No NFC enabled smartphone is required, the cashier simply scans the onscreen barcode instead. µ
