JAPANESE TECHNOLOGY GIANT Toshiba has announced that its quad-core AT300 tablet will go on sale in the UK within the next two months.
The Toshiba AT300 tablet's quad-core Tegra 3 processor comes courtesy of Nvidia and will arrive paired with the latest Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich (ICS) operating system and the company's simple, holographic user interface.
Toshiba said, "The Tegra 3 processor makes light work of demanding applications - delivering incredible graphic performance on even the most detailed games, faster image rendering and smoother HD video playback."
"Additionally, the Nvidia Tegra 3 processor includes an additional fifth core specifically designed to handle everyday tasks, helping to extend battery life to up to 10 hours, delivering a full day of power without the need to recharge," Toshiba added.
It measures just 8.95mm thick, and the tablet also features a 10.1in 1280x800 touchscreen, 1GB RAM, a 5MP rear camera with HD video, a 2MP front facing camera, and either 16GB or 32GB of internal storage.
Toshiba was unable to set an exact release date but told us the tablet will go on sale this quarter, which means that it should be available before the end of June. µ
