FIRST PERSON SHOOTER game Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 (CoD:MW3) has some new maps for Xbox players.
Activision released the updates this weekend to Elite subscribers and they bring a couple of new maps, one set in Greece and one set in Korea. Anyone that is not an Elite subscriber gets nothing except envy.
The Greek map is dubbed Sanctuary, but we suspect that it is anything but. "Suspended in the air one thousand feet up, you'll battle more than altitude in the towering sandstone monasteries of Central Greece," says the description on the CoD:MW3 web page.
"Formed over millions of years, this sanctuary's natural rock pillars have repelled invading armies and withstood the ravages of time but now they'll face your deployment. Test your skills-and the ancient monks' craftsmanship - with your arsenal of SMG's, assault rifles and shotguns. Just remember: don't look down."
Set in a concrete factory in South Korea, Foundation sounds less glamorous but equally bombastic. It is a described as a "combat zone for sniping and run-and-gun rules of engagement".
Playstation 3 updates will follow shortly, while Xbox users should get four more updates in May. These will likely include a mix of maps and new missions. µ
Pre-orders to begin on 9 September with release to follow on 16 September
