THE INEFFECTIVE AND RUDE US Transportation Security Administration (TSA) has prevented BT security expert Bruce Schneier from testifying before a US House of Representatives committee.
Schneier had been invited to testify to the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform yesterday, but he was removed from the witness list at the last minute, at the insistence of the TSA.
The reason the ineffective TSA gave for opposing Schneier's appearance before the committee was that he is involved in a lawsuit seeking to get it to shut down its full body scanners.
The title of the hearing was "TSA Oversight Part III: Effective Security or Security Theatre?"
Schneier is a critic of the TSA, and apparently it can't stand criticism. µ
