ONE OF THE MEN arrested yesterday in relation to the Lulzsec hacking spree has already been released without charge.

Donncha O'Cearbhail, who is a county councillor's son and who we learned yesterday went by the handle 'palladium' among others, was picked up in Dublin as part of a swoop that also netted five other suspects. Today the Irish Independent reports that he is out of jail already.

A spokesman for local police force, the gardai, told the newspaper that O'Cearbhail is free while a case against him is being prepared for the director of public prosecutions.

O'Cearbhail is credited with hacking the FBI conference call that was leaked earlier this year. According to the report he secretly recorded it before sharing it with the rest of the Lulzsec group. He faces up to 15 years in a US prison if he convicted on allegations of computer hacking and telephone intercepts.

The arrests yesterday followed the earlier arrest of Anonymous Sabu, a onetime hard core member who apparently turned stool pigeon after his arrest. Sabu faces a maximum sentence of 124 years and six months in prison, though he'll likely get a much lighter sentence if he has been assisting law enforcement authorities.

The Irish Independent added that although it was reported that 'Pwnsauce' or Darren Martyn had been arrested, he is still at large. µ
