GAMES DEVELOPER Irrational Games has announced that will release its very exciting looking Bioshock Infinite internationally later this year on 19 October.
The title will come out slightly earlier in the US on 16 October and will appear for the Xbox 360, Playstation 3 and Windows PC.
This is a hotly anticipated title and early videos released by the developers show a gloriously created and deeply constructed steampunk world. To date the Bioshock franchise has sold nine million units and this release in four years in the making.
"After Bioshock, we had a vision for a follow up that dwarfed the original in scope and ambition," said Ken Levine, creative director of Irrational Games. "Bioshock Infinite has been our sole focus for the last four years, and we can't wait for fans to get their hands on it."
Action takes place in an alternative America of 1912, around 50 years before the action in the original title, and you play Booker DeWitt, a former Pinkerton agent. In the first person shooter you must make your way through the sky-city of Columbia, along with a trusted artificial intelligence partner.
