JAPANESE ELECTRONICS FIRM Toshiba will launch its slim AT200 tablet in the UK next week, with the 16GB model priced at £399.

The tablet will launch exclusively with Carphone Warehouse on 15 February and is available with 16GB or 32GB of internal storage. The 16GB device has a price tag of £399 and the 32GB model is available for £449.

The Toshiba AT200 is just 7.7mm thick, runs Android 3.2 Honeycomb, and has a 10.1in touchscreen, multiple connectivity options and up to eight hours of battery life.

The tablet comes with Adobe Flash 10.3 pre-installed and has microUSB and microSD card ports as well as a microHDMI port to connect the AT200 directly to HDTVs, monitors or projectors.

The device comes with WiFi connectivity and Bluetooth and has a high definition LED backlit 1,280x800 resolution screen for viewing high definition video, photographs, games and web content.

The AT200 has a 1.2GHz Texas Instruments OMAP 4430 processor and 1GB of DDR2 RAM. It also comes with a GPS, 3D Accelerometer, gyrometer, electronic compass, and ambient light sensor. It has a 5MP camera on the rear and a 2MP camera on the front.

The tablet emerged in September last year. At 7.7mm thick and weighing 558g, the device is trimmer than the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 and the Apple Ipad 2. µ
