Looks much better now

CANADIAN MOBILE MAKER Research in Motion's (RIM) upcoming Blackberry London smartphone has been leaked for a second time.

This time the phone looks completely different from the one seen back in November last year. The phone will run the Blackberry 10 operating system and has a much sleeker design.

The slide posted by Crackberry describes the next generation operating system as a "dramatic shift in UI [user interface] experience" and says the London will have "exceptional power and efficiency".

Hardware specifications are not detailed but a Texas Instruments 1.5GHz dual-core processor is expected to drive the handset. Details leaked in November include 1GB of RAM, 16GB of internal storage, an 8MP rear facing camera and a 2MP front facing camera.

The Blackberry London looks like a smartphone version of the firm's Playbook tablet, with its matte black finish and rounded corners. Mobile World Congress (MWC) is fast approaching, and RIM might unveil it there. µ

Keyboard

Hope they make both with and without keyboard. Three out of five in my family prefer touch qwerty keyboard.

Beautiful design

Wow, this design is a major upgrade for Blackberry. I love the classic Blackberry keyboard, but this design seems like proof that it is time for the keyboard to go. If RIM names a good price and markets this phone efficiently, it could mean a comeback fro the struggling company.
