MOBILE OPERATOR T-Mobile has announced its unlimited range of mobile phone tariffs that it calls The Full Monty.
The firm is touting the plan as "ground-breaking" and, "The first of its kind in the UK." It will be available from this Wednesday and have no restrictions on calls, texts and internet use, including tethering.
Ben Fritsch, head of propositions at T-Mobile said, "The Full Monty has been designed for customers who want the peace of mind that there are absolutely no limits placed on their allowances, whilst also knowing they're getting market leading value for money."
"We're really proud to be the first to offer a plan like The Full Monty in the UK." He added.
Customers will sign up for a two year contract starting at £36 per month (pm). The only catch with the cheapest option is a restriction of 2,000 minutes of calls to other networks.
The Full Monty then costs £41, £46 or £61 pm with unlimited everything. This sounds like a lot but the price does include a handset. Depending on the price plan you can get a Samsung Galaxy S II, Blackberry 9900 or Apple Iphone 4S for free.
Customers will get free access to BT Openzone WiFi and the usual bonus of sharing network coverage with Orange. Users who use their smartphone for tethering could find The Full Monty an attractive option.
Three is the closest rival for this type of tariff with ones that include all-you-can-eat data. We're waiting to for its response to the T-Mobile announcement. µ

After their "Sorry, your 3 gig limit is now a 500 meg limit kthxbai" attempted contract change last year, I'm really not in the mood to trust T-Mobile when they suddenly say "FREE! EVERYTHING EVER! FREEEEEEE!!!!!!" so I'll just sit out the contract until I can get a Three SIM instead.
Besides, T-Mob has dropped to 0 bars in recent weeks so apart from not wanting another 2 years of indentured service to them I'm not exactly keen to remain on a network that seems to have ceased to be reliable.
