FRUIT THEMED TOY SELLER Apple's A5 chipped Iphone 4S and Ipad 2 can now be jailbroken, according to hackers.

According to Green Poison, the Chronic Dev team managed to hack the devices after months of work. This led a group of IOS hackers to get together and form an IOS super hacking "Dream Team".

Apparently the group of prominent IOS hackers contributed to the project through their troubleshooting, ideas and other support.

One of the hackers, Pod2g wrote a blog post after the release of Corona, describing in detail the userland and kernel exploits that were used, both for the A4 IOS 5.0.1 untethered jailbreak and as a starting point for the Absinthe A5 toolkit.

Meanwhile, this week the Iphoneography blog highlighted an App Store app that was posing as the popular Camera+ application.

The app, which claimed to be "THE MOST AMAZING CAMERA+ VERSION YET", was removed by Apple after it was notified. However, it's a mystery why the application made it through Apple's rigorous approval process in the first place. µ
