LG X3 quad-core smartphone gets leaked

Its next flagship device

SMILEY FACED FIRM LG's upcoming flagship smartphone, the X3 has been leaked.

It's been a long time since the firm last announced a smartphone, focusing mostly on TVs at this year's consumer electronics show (CES). However, the X3 could be its top smartphone for 2012 and its new flagship device.

LG X3 quad-core Nvidia Tegra 3 Android 4.0 Smartphone

According to Pocketnow, the X3 will have an Nvidia Tegra 3 quad-core processor and will ship with Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. In our opinion calling it the X4 would make much more sense. One thing to note is that LG has dropped the search button leaving just menu, home and back.

It will be at the large end of the scale in screen size at 4.7in with a 720x1280 resolution. Other specifications include 16GB of internal storage, an 8MP rear facing camera, a 1.3MP front facing camera and near field communications (NFC) technology.

It looks like a slim device in the image and it will measure less than 9mm thick. An impressive 2,000mAh battery could give the handset an edge on battery life.

If the phone is one of LG's upcoming devices we would expect it be shown off properly at next month's Mobile World Congress, where Samsung will probably announce the Galaxy S III.

LG recently became the latest smartphone vendor to sign a patent licensing deal with Microsoft over Android. µ

Cant wait to buy one. Hope it comes soon. Loved to play with Samsung Galaxy Note. This one will be even better with Icecream. Three cheers to LG. Hope it comes with retina display or better

Please stop the big screen thing..,

Another great phone with an absurdly large screen. Who needs a 4.7 Inch screen?
The potential user is condemned to using both hands to operate the beast. 4 inch is the maximum size for a phone to be usable. Beyond that you might as well get a tablet..

the past is the future, today!

Just like the Dell Streak.
