ONLINE PEOPLE CATALOGUE Facebook has added a number of applications to its Timeline feature, meaning that its millions of users can be even more openly abandoned about what they are doing, where and with whom.
The firm has added a slug of apps to Timeline including Foodspotting, Foodily, Ticketmaster, Pinterest, Rotten Tomatoes, Pose, Kobo, Gogobot, Tripadvisor, essentially a mix of gigging, moaning and eating services.
"You can now enhance your timeline with apps that help you tell your story, whether you love to cook, eat, travel, run, or review movies," it said in a blog post.
"Once you've added an app, you can begin updating your timeline with your activities as they happen. For example, if you love design, shopping or fashion, you can add the Pinterest or Pose apps to make your favorite items part of your timeline."
Get the picture? If not, Facebook added that if you like to cook then the Foodily app will tell people what you like to cook, Gogobot will tell them where you have been and Tripadvisor will tell them what you thought about those places. Comprehensive though this sounds, it is only the start.
"Soon, there will be apps for all types of interests, as more apps will launch over time. Whether you love snowboarding, gardening, hiking, or knitting, or something else, there will be an app for you," said Facebook, as it continues to selflessly add new features for its users.
"Timeline apps are for the activities you want to share with friends. You choose when to add an app, and you decide who can see it. After you've added an app, you can always remove posts directly from timeline, and you can also edit your settings from your personal Activity Log."
So there you have it. You have been warned. µ
