CHINESE TOY MAKER In Icons has halted production of a Steve Jobs doll.
The move follows "immense pressure from the lawyers of Apple and Steve Jobs family", the toy company said in a statement on its web site.
Customers who have pre-ordered the 12-inch doll, which was on sale for $99 on the Hong Kong firm's web site, will be given full refunds.
Earlier this month, Apple told In Icons that it would sue unless it ceased selling it.
The legal battle centred around the likeness of the action figure to the late Apple co-founder, with Apple claiming it owns the rights.
The doll, which we at The INQUIRER quite honestly were disturbed by, was dressed in Jobs's trademark blue jeans, sneakers and black turtleneck sweater.
It came with accessories including a pair of glasses, a leather belt, black socks, a bar stool, two apples and a "One More Thing" backdrop.
In Icons said that it "strove to perfect the figurine with the spirit of Steve Jobs" because "only this will properly reflect my respect and admiration of him".
The statement said, "Unfortunately we have received immense pressure from the lawyers of Apple and Steve Jobs family. Regardless of the pressure, I am still Steve's fan, I fully respect Steve, and his family, and it is definitely not my wish or intention that they be upset.
"Though we still believe that we have not overstepped any legal boundaries, we have decided to completely stop the offer, production and sale of the Steve Jobs figurine out of our heartfelt sensitivity to the feelings of the Jobs family.
"We understand that this decision will cause many of the fans' disappointment, but please forgive us as there is no other alternative unless to have the blessing from Steve Jobs family... We will aim to have full refund to the fans who have pre-ordered." µ

I think ill sell it in the us with a vibrating head under the clauses that allow for satire.
What the hell has it to do with apple? they don't own him because he worked there for a bit. Also, jobs would probably have sold out his best friend for cash, oh wait, he did.
