Samsung steps up anti Apple campaign in Germany
KOREAN ELECTRONICS GIANT Samsung has entered more claims against Apple in their patent battle in Germany.
The two firms are locked into a war over software and hardware patents and are taking their battles to courts across the globe.
According to Reuters Samsung has filed additional claims in Germany that allege four more patent infringements in the ongoing case there. A spokesperson confirmed this to the news agency.
"[Samsung] made four more claims; two are standard-related patents and the other two are utility patents. And a court said it would make these claims separate from the April lawsuit," the spokesperson said.
Samsung has already had some success against Apple, including winning the right to sell its tablet hardware in Australia, but has lost elsewhere and failed to get bans on Apple products approved by the courts.
Last week it thanked Apple for the free advertising that the court cases have brought it, saying that the fruit firm had made it a household name. Apple has fought very hard to get the Ipad-like and Iphone-like Galaxy devices banned.
Other patent lawsuit results are pending. µ

Apple sells consumer roducts to consumers, not gadgets to geeks.

anyone tech saavy should be able to tell tell the difference between it and an ipad. it has different dimensions.
And for the rest of the world. The ipad has a giant apple on the back. The tab says samsung in big bold letters on the front.....
Proof of which was that Samsung's lawyers couldn't tell the difference between them when they were presented to them by the judge.
I rest my case m'lud.
You could try to be more objective instead of showing your love for apple so bluntly.

Source: The Inquirer (http://s.tt/14VoO)" Really? The Tablet is thinner, lighter, higher resolution, different feel and color than the iPad. They are NOTHING alike. Proof of which is Apple being caught photoshopping the Tab in German courts.
