Bill Gates will not return to Microsoft

Happy with his part time job
Thu Dec 15 2011, 09:40

SOFTWARE HOUSE Microsoft's founder Bill Gates is quite happy with a part time role, and despite what people say he will never return triumphantly to the Microsoft helm like a King Elessar.

Gates has been interviewed by the Sydney Morning Herald and while there took the time to dispel rumours that he might want the top job back at Microsoft, talk up his charity work, and settle some rumours about him and Steve Jobs.

Working at the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation will see Gates happily through to his retirement, according to the man himself.

"I'm part-time involved with Microsoft, including even being in touch this week to give some of my advice but that's not going to change - the foundation requires all of my energy and we feel we're having a great impact," he explained, presumably to a sigh of relief from a large bald man in Redmond.

Gates and Jobs had a history and knew each other when they were young, which lead to friendly and not so friendly competition between them. Responding to a question about Jobs' view that he was not very imaginative and a better philanthropist than software developer, Gates said that Jobs was "brilliant" but frustrated by his rival's success.

"He was a brilliant person. I enjoyed working with him, I enjoyed competing with him," he said. "Because the Microsoft machines outsold his machines by a lot he was always kind of tough on Microsoft, but that's fine."

Gates added that despite suggestions he did not use Apple's Iphone, explaining that he uses "fantastic" Windows phones and software. µ

The law wanted more from Bill!

I thought Bill was drinking soda out of a can during his "monopoly case" to explain his activities. How could the government claim he was building a monopoly by slamming the door shut on Netscape, but not outlaw BHP inside soda cans? Bill also began to rock alot like he was suffering from Parkisons disease, during his 2010 documentary, a disease welders get. Why would the government worry so much about Netscape, a company that never had the money and skills to update and rid itself of bugs. All of which Bill is now helping the world out with, as parasites are on his hitlists.

Duh

This philanthropy thing is such a crock, it is nothing more than a tax evasion scheme. Of course it is better for the private induhviduals than a govt bureaucrat to decide where the money goes, but the ongoing argument about the rich not paying their fair shair in taxes has got to stop until loopholes like this are closed.

It is certainly no accident that those rich folk who created and maintain the tax code are happy with the status quo, and a lot of time (e.g. Warren Buffet) can sit back and claim that they would be happy to pay more in taxes.
