FRUIT THEMED GADGET SELLER Apple's founding papers have been sold at auction for the price of $1,594,500 (£1.03m).

According to the BBC, this was way above Sotheby's estimates that the three typed partnership agreements would sell for between $100,000 and $150,000. They were bought by Eduardo Cisneros, CEO of Cisneros Corporation, who was one of five bidders.

Apple's three founders, Steve Jobs, Steve Wozniak and Ronald Wayne signed the papers on 1 April, 1976. There was also an amendment when Wayne quit 11 days later.

The papers were sold by Wade Saadi, founder and CEO of the IT recruitment firm Pencom Systems, who bought the documents from Wayne in 1994 for "several thousand dollars". µ
