SMILEY FACED FIRM LG has announced its Xnote Z330, an Ultrabook laptop.
The Xnote Z330 is the latest Ultrabook to tip up to compete against rivals such as Asus, Toshiba and Acer. LG touts the shiny laptop as thinner and lighter than Apple's similar Macbook Air.

At 15.2mm thick at the largest point and 1.2kg it is trimmer than the fruit themed laptop. Like the Apple Macbook Air, the LG Xnote Z330 is wedged-shaped so tapers down to a thinner point.
As with all Ultrabooks the Xnote Z330 will have an Intel Sandy Bridge Core i5 or Core i7 processor. It will have a choice of a 120GB or 256GB solid state disk (SSD) drive. LG said the laptop will boot up in a 100m dash style time of 9.9 seconds.
LG will include an HDMI port, a USB 3.0 port, a full size SD card slot and WiDi technology for a wireless external display. The Xnote Z330 will have a 13.3in screen.
We haven't heard from LG about UK pricing and availability but Electronista says the Xnote Z330 Ultrabook will cost between $1,508 (£963) and $2,307 (£1,473). µ
