SOFTWARE HOUSE Microsoft's Windows Phone 7.5 (WP7.5) Mango operating system (OS) can be found on Android and IOS via a demo.
It's not quite the kind of ported hack you might think but actually a web based demonstration version of the Mango OS. The system means users can get a taste for the rival interface on different devices.

As you can see we tried it out on the Iphone 4S and the Samsung Galaxy Nexus. You can browse around the colourful tiled home screen while blue animations prompt you to tap or swipe once you select one. Mind you, none of the apps in the menu are clickable.
If you want to try it for yourself, head to http://aka.ms/wpdemo on your mobile phone and see what you think. It's a clever way for Microsoft to get people to try out the OS, which is quite different from Apple's and Google's offerings. The downside, if you happen to like it, is that you probably won't ever be able to get WP7.5 Mango on the device you test it on. µ
