Apple announces a Black Friday sale

FRUIT THEMED Apple has announced its own Black Friday sale that will take place this Friday.

The INQUIRER received an email this morning which read, "Friday only: The special one-day Apple shopping event."

It added, "Every gift list has its day. Mark your calendar. This Friday, 25 November, is the special one-day Apple shopping event. Visit your favourite Apple Retail Store or shop online all day."

Although it's not yet clear which items will be on sale, the fruit themed gadget maker's teaser page that appeared at its online stores said customers can get "amazing iPad, iPod and Mac gifts" during the event.

Last year, Apple's Black Friday deals weren't great, with just $100 off Imac, Macbook Pro and Macbook Air computers. There was also $41 off the Ipad, and a $21 discount on the Ipod Touch.

Whatever the deals available in the Apple sale this year, The INQUIRER is sure they will be more attractive than Amazon's Black Friday deals, which aren't exactly up to scratch this year. We are however, tempted by a garden rake we have seen at Amazon for £20, down from £30 - that certainly beats any Ipad discounts Apple can throw at us. µ
