Apple apparently delays IOS 5.0.2

Update could be wishful thinking
Tue Nov 22 2011, 13:18

FRUIT THEMED SOFTWARE HOUSE Apple has delayed its IOS 5.0.2 because of memory leaks in the code, according to a rumour.

Last week German web site Macerkopf said sources had told it that the update would be out by the end of this week.

However, a source has now said that the update requires more testing, adding that Apple doesn't want to have to then rush to release IOS 5.0.3 quickly afterwards, we presume in order to patch more issues.

IOS 5.1 is apparently also in the works for in the New Year and will bring additions to Apple's Siri voice control. Its new features will include the ability to turn on and off WiFi and Bluetooth, take photos and shoot videos.

Battery issues showed up shortly after Apple released its IOS 5 mobile operating system upgrade and started to make Apple's handsets look bad. However, the IOS 5.0.1 update, which Apple said would resolve battery issues, appears to have made the problem worse, with users taking to Apple's forums and fanboi web sites' forums to complain.

As always, heed our warning to take Apple rumours with a pinch of salt. However, we at The INQUIRER are keeping our fingers crossed that Apple will release the update soon, as our Iphone battery isn't what it used to be. µ

Puh-lease

Apple really should just hang it up and leave the high-end tech stuff to the professionals.
