KOREAN HARDWARE GIANT Samsung will unveil its Google TV some time next year, but not until after CES.

Samsung is in the final stages of talks with Google over its Google powered TV that it will launch next year. The device has been on the cards since January this year.

Yoon Boo-keun, president of the TV division at Samsung told Reuters that the company will "unveil its Google TV at an event next year" but gave no indication of when.

January's consumer electronics show (CES) in Las Vegas is an obvious event to showcase the device but this won't be the case, according to the Korea Times.

Boo-keun said, "We are in our final stages of talks with Google over releasing our version of a Google TV. The product will be revealed next year for sure but not at the CES in January."

However, he did add that by the time CES arrives the firm will probably have a release date to share with everyone. With a lot of competition in this area Samsung will want to make it sooner rather than later. µ
