George Clooney could play Steve Jobs in biopic

We're not entirely convinced

HOLLYWOOD ACTOR and star of several Coen brothers films, George Clooney is apparently in the frame to play Steve Jobs in a biopic about his life.

According to Digital Spy, both George Clooney and ER star Noah Wyle are in frame to play the late Apple leader.

After Jobs recently passed away, Sony picked up the rights to make a film about Jobs' life. It is thought that the writer of The Social Network, Aaron Sorkin has been contacted about adapting the script for the film. Filming is due to start next year.

At 50, Clooney is 10 years older than 40-year-old Wyle, who starred opposite him in the hospital drama ER.

Meanwhile, Wyle already played the Apple co-founder in the 1999 TV movie Pirates of Silicon Valley, so he might have the edge over silver fox Clooney.

The INQUIRER would quite frankly be surprised to see the clean cut and a-bit-too-beefy Clooney take the role of the Apple leader. However, the army of mums that comprise Clooney's fan base probably would be more than thrilled. µ
