FINNISH PHONE MAKER Nokia launched the Lumia 800 Windows Phone 7.5 smartphone yesterday but we've already got a glimpse of the one of Nokia's next handsets.

It was only yesterday that we heard about upcoming Lumia phones, which the head of Nokia in France compared to BMW cars. Now one of the upcoming phones has been shown in a video advertisement for developers.

Nokia Lumia Smartphone

The smartphone shown in the short film could be a new BMW Series 7 or more likely the follow-on to the Lumia 800, Nokia's flagship handset. It is being widely dubbed as the Lumia 900. Another possibility is that it's the Nokia Champagne that was leaked last week.

There are no details about the smartphone at the moment apart from the fact that it looks different from the Lumia 800 and is clearing running the Windows Phone operating system. It looks flatter and thinner, kind of like Sony Ericsson's Xperia Arc.

To us it looks like the screen is larger than the 3.5in display on the Lumia 800, perhaps 4in or maybe 4.3in. We'll have to wait for more details on this one. µ
