Gmail app for Apple's IOS could tip up soon

Native at last

A NATIVE Google Gmail app for Apple's Igadgets could be inbound to the Itunes App Store soon.

Multiple sources have told technology journalist MG Siegler that Google is about to launch the Gmail app for IOS. It apparently has submitted the app to Apple for approval.

Sielger said, "Google is on the verge of launching their native Gmail app, multiple sources tell me. In fact, I believe it has already been submitted to Apple for review. If it gets approved, it should be out soon. And I think it's going to be approved."

Gmail has been accessible on devices such as the Iphone via Google's web application and Gmail is supported in the Iphone's pre-loaded email client, so it's not the first time that users will be able to get their Gmail on IOS. However, the app will add things like push notifications and hopefully a more useable interface.

If or when it does appear, we believe it will run on other fruit themed devices such as the Ipad 2 and maybe the Ipod Touch as well.

Android users have always had the Gmail card to play against Apple users but this could soon change, so keep your eyes on the Itunes App Store for the Gmail app. µ
