TAIWANESE PHONE MAKER HTC's Sensation XL smartphone has gone on sale across the UK today.
Mobile operators and online retailers are offering the Sensation XL to consumers. The handset is available on contract, pay as you go and SIM-free, with Beats headphones included.

Three is offering the phone from £34 per month on contract or £449 on pay as you go. Online retailer Clove has the Sensation XL for £486 SIM-free, with stock due to arrive today. If you'd rather have over-ear headphones then Expansys is giving the option of Solo Beats for an extra £60 above the normal price of £459.
Contracts with Three, Orange and O2 are available via The Carphone Warehouse. The cheapest monthly rate is £26 with Orange.
The Sensation XL is the second HTC handset to feature Beats audio and is also its largest phone, with a 4.7in screen. As far as we're concerned, it's the same phone as the HTC Titan but running Android instead of Windows Phone 7.5.
Other details include Android 2.3.5 Gingerbread, a 1.5GHz processor, 512MB of RAM, 16GB of internal storage and an 8MP rear facing camera. If 4.7in sounds a bit too big then the Sensation XE is a similar device but with a 4.3in screen.
