Apple returns to Oz over Samsung tablet ban
BOSSY FRUIT THEMED Apple is once again in Australia trying to stop distributors from selling rival Samsung's Galaxy Tab tablets.
Having already had some success in stopping low budget tablet developer Kogan from selling Samsung tablets in its stores, Apple has been attempting to get others to do the same, and in its latest legal action has sent cease and desist letters to two online resellers.
According to the Sydney Morning Herald, while Kogan buckled under initial pressure from Apple, other firms were more hardy and carried on selling the Samsung tablets, regardless of the earlier court injunction against their sale.
Two firms insisted on selling the tablets to consumers looking for some hardware choice, and the SMH reports that Apple has demanded that they stop it. Mobicity.com.au and Dmavo.com.au have both received threatening legal letters, the newspaper adds.
The latter of the two firms is going to quite some lengths to keep selling the Galaxy Tab tablets, and in a statement said that it is restructuring its business to avoid legal censure.
"At this stage we will not be responding to their [letter of demand] so as not to give them any ammo should the matter proceed to court," said a spokesman for Dmavo.com.au. "As you can appreciate, we'd rather spend our time evaluating the best restructure options so that we can keep on selling these tablets to the Australian public."
Samsung meanwhile has won the right to challenge the earlier ban in an expedited hearing. This means that it could be heard soon and settled before the start of the important Christmas holiday sales season. µ

Find the Goldman Sachs report circa 2004 which shows that China will not stop with 7-10% rate growth difference with US till 2050.
If you do not know how to use your computer for anything else besides the games ask your dad to plot the graph of GDP of US vs GDP of China for next 40 years.
Then you will see that there will be minimum 3-4 difference in GDP. Do you understand what that means? That means you and your children will forget what computers and hi-tech are and only know how grow tomatoes & grapes in America. Besides, due to globalization of manufacturing your so valuable sh#t is not needed here anymore.
I would just stop selling Apple products, and try to make a pact with other stores to do the same.
Less choice = less sales = less profit (due to buying from limited suppliers)
Not everyone Wants to buy Apple, there is a lot of customers that hate Apple, and/or don't like iOS and would like something different. Apple doesan't cater to those other people. So sales are lost, as those people will not buy iOS devices. So it hurts buisness.
