Former Sun CEO turns up at an enterprise social networker

FORMER Sun Microsystems CEO Jonathan Schwartz has joined the board at enterprise social networking firm Moxie.

"Jonathan is a tremendous addition to Moxie's experienced leadership team," said Tom Kelly, CEO of Moxie Software as he welcomed the pony-tailed executive to his company.

"Jonathan's experience in leading a Fortune 200 company will be instrumental in fueling our growth and solidifying our position as a leader in the social enterprise software market."

Schwartz is CEO of Picture of Health, a health focused research and development firm, and was previously the president and CEO of Sun Microsystems, a firm that he signed off from with a haiku.

"The social enterprise software market is in its infancy, and will undoubtedly grow as companies embrace collaborative interactions with all their constituencies," said Schwartz in less poetic fashion.

"Moxie Software is well-positioned to lead the market as Spaces by Moxie combines the best of social networking technology with the security and scalability required by enterprises."

Schwartz has had an interesting and colourful career and regularly used his blog to express gripes and his dissatisfaction with the industry, its other personalities, and their innovations. µ

Yeah - Good luck with that.

This guy is a d-bag. Not a smart move, Moxie. Too bad you'll have to find out the hard way.

So much for Moxie

Wonder how long before he destroys this company? His illustrious career at Sun Microsystems also consisted of all ideas and no substance.
