THE MAN WHO wrote the warts and all Social Network film, otherwise known as the Facebook movie, is being lined up to write the screenplay for a Steve Jobs movie.
According to the LA Times Sony is already making moves towards a biopic about the Apple co-founder, and the name in the frame for the screenwriter role is Aaron Sorkin.
Although the film will be based on the bestseller by Walter Isaacson, it's likely that people in Hollywood think that Sorkin could bring a bit more spice to it before it is released to movie-goers more used to watching Bruce Willis smash things up.
The LA Times has a source for its story, and they chose to remain anonymous, but if you were in Hollywood and were considering making a film about a visionary technology leader with a colourful history, you would probably call Aaron Sorkin, among whose credits is The West Wing.
From what we have seen so far the story should make for a pretty good movie, but depending on how much time is spent discussing Android mobiles it might get an 18+ rating for bad language alone. µ
C'mon, are you the Daily Mirror? Get your facts right. David Fincher dirtected The Social Network. Aaron Sorkin was the screenwriter only.
Even wen he's dead he still can't help milking the punters for even more cash
Are Inq "journalists" completely unable to do any research of their own? Like spending 30 seconds checking on IMDB? Sorkin DIDN'T DIRECT The Social Network, he wrote the screenplay.
