Exclusive Sells 'thousands'

BED MAKER Mattressman has sold out of its inexpensive Andy Pad Pro tablet via its web site in an unlikely success story.

In two versions, the Andy Pad went on sale just over a month ago offering a 7in Android 2.3 Gingerbread tablet for £129. The slightly higher end model, the Pro, retails for £179 and is now sold out, but more are on their way.

Andy Pad said via Twitter, "Andy Pad Pros out of stock! A recent rush of sales has left us with very few left. More on their way within a couple of weeks!!"

Paul Edwards, business development executive at Andy Pad said, "We are thrilled with the response from the community, and our sales have been fantastic. We couldn't have predicted a better start for Andy Pad, and the team are tremendously proud. A lot of hard work has gone into the Andy Pad project, so we are thrilled that customers are buying."

Edwards told The INQUIRER that the tablet has sold thousands of units across the two models since launch. It is available through the Andy Pad web site or Amazon.

For the budget price you get a decent tablet. The Andy Pad Pro has a capacitive touchscreen with 600x1024 resolution, a Cortex A8 processor, 512MB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage. Furthermore, you get WiFi, HDMI and microUSB ports, a microSD card slot and around six hours of battery life. µ

Mattressman?!

A bed maker?! Really? Anyway....

I agree with McGee's comment. I thinking saying it's sold hundreds would have been a little more realistic.

It's interesting Amazon is mentioned. Take a look for yourself. The standard has no reviews. And the pro has a one star review (and not available ?!)

I guess the 'thousands' couldn't be bothered to review it, I'm sure.

Lies

Believable news story. It hasn't sold thousands, not even 1 thousand. They just didn't order enough in from China because of poor planning and didn't want to look stupid. In other news, aliens abducted my cat. I don't have any proof but please write a news story about it.

REMINDS US OF A SONG

DUT-DUT DUDDLE-DUDDLE DUT-DUT-DUT-DUT,
DUT-DUT DUDDLE-DUDDLE DUT-DUT-DUT-DUT,
DUT, DUDDLE, DUT-DUT,
DUT, DUDDLE, DUT-DUT,
DUDDLE-DUDDLE DUDDLE-DUDDLE DUDDLE-DUDDLE DUT-DUT.

THATS BECAUSE THE SONG HAS AS MUCH TO DO WITH THE STORY, AS THE STORY HAS TO DO WITH ACTUAL NEWS.

!SHOCK!
