APPLE CO-FOUNDER Steve Wozniak told The INQUIRER that IOS 5 bricked two of his Iphones and shared what he wants in the Iphone 5.
We managed to catch a quick word with the chief scientist at Fusion-IO at today's IP Expo event in London. He told us how upgrading to IOS 5 bricked two Iphone handsets, one of which was unrecoverable and had to be replaced.
His favourite feature of the new operating system would have been Siri, the voice activated personal assistant, if it wasn't specific to the Iphone 4S. He also said that he enjoyed using the card making app because it's unusual.
In general he admitted to not really noticing the changes and asked us to make a list of them so he could pick easier.
Talking about the Iphone 5, Wozniak said he dreams of a thinner device with 4G LTE technology. He believes that Siri is "the future of mobile devices" and wants to be able to talk to a wrist watch and get the answer to come up on the Iphone's screen. µ

I'm a computer engineer student and bug happens. They happen the most when you are in a rush, but they also happen when a software team is not "connected" too much and their work is more like a sum of its parts instead of single team work. Or maybe it wasn't tested properly. Sometimes you just finish your work and go home an leave the others in the team test it. But you never know...
About bugs of this magnitude, I can't recall which other one bricked a device this badly.
The Woz's iPhonies got bricked by an OS update? Somehow I think the Jobsian Cult will actually fix this particular bug in a timely fashion. Too bad it has to happen to someone with Woz's prominence to get Apple to pay attention....
he was prob trying to JB it and hack the baseband unlock too and messed it up, lol
