AUSTRALIAN HARDWARE MAKER Kogan has announced its 8in and 10in Agora tablets for those on a budget.
The tablets follow on from the 7in model that the firm launched earlier this year. They will run Android 2.3 and have a release date of 18 November.
With a goal of being the cheapest, Ruslan Kogan, CEO of Kogan said, "We're now entering the tablet wars in a concerted way and ensuring that we have the best value option."

The two tablets are essentially the same in every way apart from a few minor differences. Obviously there is the screen size, where one offers an 8in screen with 480x800 resolution and the other a 10in display with 768x1024 resolution.
The batteries are the other big difference with a 3600mAh cell in the 8in model and a 5500mAh one for the 10in. We almost forgot to mention that the 10in tablet has a nicer and shinier home button.
Both use a Cortex A8 1GHz processor and have 512MB of RAM and 4GB of internal storage that can be expanded with a microSD card. Both include an HDMI port, WiFi and a USB port.
You can pre-order the tablets using Kogan's ever increasing Liveprice system for £120 and £151. These prices will go up to £139 and £179 when Liveprice pre-ordering finishes.
Ruslan Kogan also took a pop at Apple after Apple stopped it from selling the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 in Australia. With regard to the latest Agora tablets he said, "It is true. The Kogan Agora range of tablets does have a screen and a battery. Our tablets also happen to look like a tablet. I hope this does not aggravate Apple and cause further legal proceedings." µ
